A Joy Forever …

WoWF Keats lunchThis is an excuse to combine two of the things I love best (roast potatoes and John Keats) – an event I’m helping organise for the Words over Waltham Forest Festival. Download a poster here … WoWF Keats lunch

‘In the teens of the nineteenth century, Romantic poet John Keats would lace up his boots and walk the nine miles from his Hampstead home to Walthamstow. His beloved sister Fanny lived in Walthamstow in the care of her guardians.

Join poets Julia Bird and Mike Sims for a Keats-suffused Sunday roast: a three-course lunch inspired by Georgian food history, cooked by local professional chef Eliza Welsford, and interspersed with readings from Keats’ poems and letters. As Winter begins, enjoy an afternoon of good food and drink, candle-lit companionship and some of the tenderest poems in the English language.’

Three-course lunch £30. Vegetarians catered for. Quality wines available for purchase.

In association with the Poetry Society and Words over Waltham Forest festival. Limited availability. Please book in advance: call Andrew on 07736 669691, or book online
